Is this really free?

Yes. Every tier is free — there is no card on file and no billing. Eaon runs on donated and free-tier provider keys, so the limits exist to keep it that way for everyone.

What happens when I hit the rate limit?

You get a 429 with a standard OpenAI-shaped error body. Limits are per minute, so the next window clears it. Nothing is throttled permanently.

Do I need provider keys?

No. Eaon holds the upstream keys and routes server-side. You only ever send your Eaon key — or nothing at all on the Instant tier.

How do I get Pro?
